Tanks arent tanking for pugs

I would explain to you, in fine detail, the many many many many many reasons tanks arent tanking for pugs, how tanking itself is broken, and how there isnt even a true "tank shortage" to begin with.

Alas, I'll leave you with this nugget of wisdom...roll a tank yourself and you'll never need another tank again. I honestly believe that 80% of the people who whine and say tanks are being greedy and selfish and that tanking isnt harder or more stressful than any other job (and come with the most disadvantages in the game) have never ever ever tried it.

WoW Rookie: Choose your class!

The first question many players have when they first tear open their World of Warcraft game box is, "What class should I play?" And I'm afraid that my standard answer to the question is terribly unhelpful, "Why don't you try them and see which one you like best?"

I still think that's the best answer (I simply can't know all of your likes or dislikes to simply tell you "Mage" or "Shaman"), but today I'm going to try to give you a more helpful answer by defining the playstyles of each of the nine classes, and making some suggestions on which ones are the most newbie-friendly. So if you're trying to figure out which class might be best for you, read on!

Top 10 things not to say in a Heroic of World of Warcraft

Number 10: "Who heals/tanks?"
Number 9: "What's your spec?"
Number 8: "Who marks?"
Number 7: "Need to farm Soul Stones on the trash pulls."
Number 6: "Let's not die. I can't afford a repair bill. Nothing on the AH sold today."
Number 5: "Didn't bring powder for a table, sorry."
Number 4: "Anyone have meat? My pet will run away if I don't feed him."
Number 3: "I just got my Heroic key today..."
Number 2: "Which one do I Sap/Trap?"
Number 1: "Where do I get the key for this Heroic?"

World of Warcraft destroyed my sister life?

I feel like I started this and I just don't know what to do! It's not like they have a Betty Ford clinic for gamers... and she's a grown woman; I can't just stroll into her apartment and remove her ethernet cables. I've tried talking to her and she just grows indignant and says that I should just "stop trying to act like I'm her dad or something."

Has anybody had to deal with this sort of thing before, and if so, how did you handle it? What was the result?

I played Warcraft 2 when it was released

I played Warcraft 2 when it was released, and it was just "Kick the evil orcs back to wherever they came from" with a sequel "Follow them through the portal and kick some more". Loved it back then. I didn't like Warcraft 3 really, because I didn't want to play RTS anymore. But I was a bit shocked when my girlfriend back then turned Arthas into a zombie and built nasty undead people. Still didn't bother really with it, Diablo 2 was my game. I played up till where you have to burn down Stratholme, didn't make that quest even on easy setting. (Always think about that when I'm in Stratholme now) Then I got lured into WoW when it was released because I was told it was a RPG style Diablo2 like game with leveling your character. Was a bit confused first with Orcs not being evil etc. I really tried to understand the story, including those weird things like 'The Missing Diplomat' quest. So I eventually ended up reading the short version of the Lore at the Wow-europe site and now I'm one of those guys who thinks it's weird we get to kill every bad guy who ever seems to have existed in WoW (except Sargeras) Reply With Quote
